The Perkins County Health Services Foundation offers scholarships to assist students pursuing a degree in the medical field or medical related studies and programs. The scholarships are made possible by generous donations from area donors and each
has their own set of qualifiers and requirements. Please read each description carefully to determine which scholarship(s) you may qualify for application. Please review each scholarship’s application guidelines, requirements and deadlines.

Graduating High School Seniors

Graduating High School Seniors & PCHS Employess

Max R. & Irene C. Kurkowski Health Services Scholarship

Due April 1st

A $500 scholarship shall be available to graduating seniors from Perkins County High School or Wallace High School entering into the medical field. This amount may be granted to one graduate or may be divided among more than one student. Applications must be submitted to the Perkins County Health Services Foundation by April 1st each year. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the appropriate high school graduation. Please refer to the individual scholarship procedure for more details.

Graduating High School Seniors & PCHS Employess

Jeppesen Christian or Health Education Scholarship

Due April 1st

The Jeppesen Scholarship provides a $1,000 scholarship to a high school senior, or a past graduate of any school within Perkins County. The recipient must enroll or be enrolled in an accredited college and pursue or be pursing a degree in Christian or health education studies. Applications must be submitted to the Perkins County Health Services Foundation by April 1st each year. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the appropriate high school graduation. Graduating High School Seniors & PCHS Employess

Perkins County Health Services Foundation Scholarship

Due April 1st

One $500 scholarship shall be available to a graduating senior from either Perkins County High School or Wallace High School who is planning to enroll in an accredited college and pursue health education studies. Applications must be submitted to the Perkins County Health Services Foundation by April 1st of each year. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the appropriate high school graduation. Graduating High School Seniors & PCHS Employees

Kroeker Health Education Scholarship

Due April 1st for high school students

Applications from PCHS employees accepted year round

High school seniors graduating from Perkins County High School or Wallace High School entering into the medical field are eligible for this scholarship. PCHS employees are eligible for funds to continue their health services education. Priority will be given to PCHS employees and secondarily to high school seniors for scholarships. The $500 award can be issued to one candidate or divided among more than one. Applications
may be received at any time of the year from employees. The application deadline for high school seniors is April 1st. Please refer to the individual scholarship procedure for more details.

Grainton United Methodist Church Health Education Scholarship

Due April 1st for high school students

Applications from PCHS employees accepted year round

Scholarships are available to high school graduates intending to enter the medical field from either Perkins County High School or Wallace High School. Funds are available to current employees of PCHS or persons being recruited by PCHS. The scholarship may be issued to one individual or may be divided between more than one applicant. Applications may be received at any time of the year from employees. High school seniors must submit applications by April 1st each year. Please refer to the individual scholarship procedure for more details.

Ron Patrick Scholarship

Due April 1st for high school and college students

Applications from PCHS employees accepted after April 1st

One $500 scholarship shall be available to a graduating senior from either Perkins County High School or Wallace High School who is planning to pursue a degree in a medical field. Applications must be submitted to the Perkins County Health Services Foundation by April 1st of each year. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the appropriate high school graduation. If no senior applies for this specific award, the Board may issue the award to a current college student who is applying for a medical scholarship. If there are no student applications, the scholarship becomes available to current PCHS employees and applications may be submitted at any time of the year following April 1st.
